April Update

I apologize for writing this update to you so late! These past three weeks have been very busy, intense and exciting. Japan has been amazing! The moment I arrived I knew that this is one hundred percent where God wants me to be. Thank you all for your prayers. My first international flight alone went very well. God guided me through the airport I arrived in Tokyo safely.

The DTS started on April 2nd and even though it was orientation week, God did mighty things in our lives as we surrendered and put our trust in him. God has been explaining things to me from my past and bringing healing to my life. He is true to his promises and his love is truly unfailing. “And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.” Romans 5:5.

I feel so blessed because the DTS staff and my classmates are such amazing people. They all are seeking God wholeheartedly. There are 14 students in total and around 30 staff, so finding a place for everyone to stay has been a problem. But not a problem too big for God! A week ago God opened the door for two apartments to be rented for the girl students to stay in and we got to move in last Saturday. We had been staying at a friend of YWAM’s house before. In the past the staff had applied to rent those same two apartments but had gotten rejected. It is very hard for foreigners to rent in Japan because foreigners are not really trusted here. But the staff all felt that God was waiting for us (the students) to arrive before he opened to the door because he wanted us to see his provision and his faithfulness.

Another miracle occurred after my fellow classmate had fallen and broken her foot a week ago. We prayed for her a few times and then pain immensely decreased. They had given her crutches for her to use for a while but after we prayed for her she didn’t need them! Praise God! We are still praying and believing for complete healing.

Please pray that my heart is 100% open to everything God wants to do in my time here and that any doubt about financial provision would leave. Pray for revival in Japan; it’s already starting! Pray that the Japanese people soften their hearts and receive his love.

Now that I have arrived in Tokyo, I can now start selling my artwork. But I have not been able to set that up just yet because of the lack of internet. I will send another email when everything is complete.

Thank you so much for your prayers. If you have any prayer requests please email them to me!
